Alicia Barban

Alicia Barban (she/her) is a performer, producer and educator, originally from Ottawa. A proud graduate of Randolph College & the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Alicia has taught and performed around the world.

Performing credits include: Hope Cladwell in Urinetown (Assembly Hall, Edinburgh, UK), Deb in Ordinary Days (OJS Theatre, Birmingham, UK), Rizzo in Grease (WinterGarden Theatre, Toronto), Evangeline & u/s Phoebe in A Gentleman’s Guide (Stage West, Calgary), and Dyanne in Million Dollar Quartet (Mayfield Theatre, Edmonton). She most recently workshopped Matron Quib in Nobody’s Children and Mrs.Klenck/Woman #1 in Dead Reckoning, both written by Lezlie Wade & Scott Christian.

She is the artistic & executive producer of The ArtFolk Collective, a community driven theatre lab that celebrates artistry, through collaborative exploration of original Canadian theatre. As an emerging producer, Alicia has been fortunate to work with a large collection of artists, and strives to break down the barriers that separate our industry, using her platform to bolster storytellers of all shapes, sizes, races, gender identities, sexualities, and experience levels.
