Fatuma Adar is a Somali-Canadian writer based in Toronto. She was long-listed in CBC’s Creative Nonfiction Prize and profiled in Up Close: Young Black Women Making Canada Better.

Kanika Ambrose
Kanika Ambrose is a playwright and librettist, currently in-residence at Cahoots Theatre, developing her play "our place." Her work has been featured at Obsidian Theatre Company, Curtis Institute of Music, Tapestry Opera, Rhubarb Festival and Toronto Fringe. Kanika is proud Artistic Producer of Paprika Festival and one of Cahoots Theatre Company's 30 for 30 theatremakers for their 30th anniversary season.
