Raised in an acclaimed family of jazz musicians in Springfield Ohio, Michael-Lamont, true to form, chose his own path, bucked the family tradition, and stubbornly pursued his passion for dance. He joined the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company at 19, and moved on to Canada at 24 to study with Toronto Dance Theatre. Michael-Lamont has since performed with Céline Dion, Cirque du Soleil, Mirvish Productions and theatres across Canada and abroad, with such productions as The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast in Toronto, and Chicago in Montreal, as well as headlining at Hugh’s Room in Toronto. Michael-Lamont’s career also branches into film, television.
