Tracey Flye has a broad range of experience in all areas of the industry and continues to work on a large range and scope of productions-from small workshops, new work development and regional theatre to large commercial and international touring productions as well as the Stratford Festival.  As an educator, Tracey is committed to the mentorship and development of young artists and has held an Asst. Professorship in the BFA program at the University of Alberta and has taught at colleges throughout Canada. Some of her credits include:

A 12-year association with the legendary rock band QUEEN and its production of We Will Rock You, which she has directed and choreographed in Toronto, South Africa, Asia and the US. National/Broadway Tour. Next to Normal (Musical Stage Co), Ring Of Fire (Citadel Theatre), ONCE (The Grand Theatre/RMTC), Million Dollar Quartet (Charlottetown Festival), the Canadian Premiere of Ghost (Drayton Entertainment), Cabaret (RMTC), West Side Story (Rainbow Stage/Vancouver Opera), Evita (Vancouver Opera), Rock Of Ages (StageWest Calgary), Buyer & Cellar, Venus in Fur (ATP), Jane Eyre, The Penelopiad, The 39 Steps (RMTC) and Hairspray (Rainbow Stage/Mayfield).

Choreography and staging credits include:  Billy Elliot (RMTC), Kiss Me Kate and Evita for the Stratford Festival, The Drowsy Chaperone (TC/RMTC) and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Boys in the Photograph (Mirvish). Tracey continues to be very proud of her 19-year association with Ross Petty Productions and their Annual Toronto tradition of the Christmas Panto.  She was the Resident Director for Once and War Horse (Mirvish Productions), the Associate Choreographer for Peggy Sue Got Married (West End) and from the time of its North American debut, Tracey was Asst. Choreographer for the Canadian production and US. National Tour of Mamma Mia!.  She recently staged Neil Patrick Harris’ HBO Special, Circus Awesomeus.

She is the recipient of 3 Elizabeth Sterling Hayes Awards, the Marquis Award for Excellence, a Dora Award and a multiple Dora nominee.
